There is a distance of 6km from the man Pottuvil - Akkaraipattu to the village, and only about 2 km of the road has been filled with gravel. Another 46 families were issued mammoties for high land crop and Vegetable cultivation. 40 families were issued with 4 kg of seed Corn, 12kg fertilizer and a mammoties. The Food and Agriculture Organization has issued Seed paddy, Fertilizer and Mamotties to 250 families. ZOA has issued 2kg of Seed Corn and 1kg groundnut to 162 families for highland crop cultivation. Three months rations which are the balance from 2002 have been issued.
